Inside Art Photo Shoot Extras!!

Having spent the day with artists Alison Rossiter and Stuart Rome, which are featured in this issue's Inside Art article, we couldn't resist posting some extra shots from the shoot.  They are both so talented, and Editor-in-Chief Meghan Beierle-O'Brien and Art Editor Sasha Sullivan had the best time exploring Alison's art studio in Manhattan, and took way too many photos to fit into the article!  So, here are a few more of our favorites.  If you haven't already seen the issue, click here!

Toujours Mag Issue 004: Modern

Issue 004 out tomorrow!

Asia Society Gala: Toujours Table Decor!

Toujours Magazine was asked to create a designer table for this week's Asia Society Gala at the Plaza Hotel in New York.  Co-Founder Meghan Beierle-O'Brien and Art Director Dana Beierle worked tirelessly to put together the perfect table decor.  They decided on a youthful/feel and hung lit globes from a cherry blossom tree, filled tall cylinders with delicate orchids and fighter fish, lined the table with a Chinese inspired fuschia table runner, infused color, and used lots of glass and candles to create a shimmering table.  

It was an amazing night chaired by benefactors Betsy and Ed Cohen and Stephanie and John Foster.  And the Toujours table had the honor of hosting John Foster and his guests!  We were delighted to meet talented interior and clothing designers throughout the night.  And we will definitely be posting more photos of the event.  But first, here are some shots of the table!

DIY Monday: Simple Loveliness

Guest Blog: KiddoSafe Shades for your tots!

In our most recent color issue this month we featured some great designs for kids by designers Jeff Andrews, Mark Langos, and Joani Stewart-Georgi in our article about designing for children's rooms. (page 139).  After this article came out we were introduced to the talented Julie Houston who has created a fun line of window shades called KiddoSafe Shades that are designed with children's safety and whimsy in mind.

My next project is decorating my own kids' rooms. My six year old chose a very grown up duvet and has also requested deep blue walls.
